The #831 for 'G' Scale or the #1831 for #1 scale.

Before assembling the car, file out the inside of the gearbox shank to widen it until it will fit on the truck draw bar.

Remove the old coupler. Cut 1/2" off of the draw bar. Position the assembled Kadee® coupler and mark for the new screw hole. Remove the coupler and drill a 3/32" hole. Mount the coupler using a #4 x 3/8" screw.

Check the coupler height. If it is too high, the coupler can be removed and spacers placed into the round hole in the gearbox shank to shim the coupler down. Kadee® #208 .015" washer shims work well when using about a half dozen of the shims.
