Did you know, by simply adding a 1/6 shim to a #7 Coupler you can make it the same mounting height as a #5, #28 or #38 coupler. Did you also know, the #7 coupler had the same mounting dimensions as the #24, #44, and #34 coupler (gearbox on bottom) with a 1/64th shim added. A Kadee #205 or #206 height gauge, #7 couplers, some shim stock, & little ingenuity can save you some money in your next conversion endeavor if you have an open mind. Note: #7 couplers must be mounted in #7 gear box.
