Standing Orders:
Standing orders are for those who want the ease and convenience of a set number of each new monthly "RTR" freight cars & don't want to have to take the time or worry about placing Pre-Orders every month. Your standing orders are the first to ship every month, and you and your customers will never miss a new released "RTR" car from Kadee®. No calls needed, no additions to the order, no worries.
Note: Standing orders don't automatically receive multi packs or Kadee® collectors cars they must be Pre-Ordered.
Pre-Orders:
We announce the road names & paint schemes for release of our "RTR" freight cars 3 months in advance. This is so you can reserve (Pre-Order) the cars ahead of time. Standing orders are fulfilled first, then pre-orders. Be sure to get your Pre-Orders in early, before we have assigned production quantities, and begun the production process. We pre-set a number of extras, but once the extras are ordered, late orders and general release sales of the cars will be subject to "OUT-OF-STOCK".
We try to contact you when your Pre-Order is ready for shipping and to verify your desired number of Pre-Order cars. This is a great time to add to your Kadee® stock and be able to save on some extra charges by combining a stock order with your Pre-Order cars. If you have not heard from us about your Pre-Ordered cars within 10 days of the release date, please contact us (phone, fax, e-mail). Otherwise, those pre-orders may be released to the general public.
Note: You will not be billed for the Pre-Orders until they are ready to ship. Unclaimed cars will be sold after 30 days.
