Making ALPS Ink Scratch Resistant
The decal paper manufacturer recommends Liquid Decal Film by MicroScale. I have found it takes 2 heavy air brush applied coats to make ALPS ink scratch resistant. After the 2 heavy coats of Liquid Decal Film is applied the ALPS ink should be also resistant to acrylic clear coat for further protection although not recommended.

ALPS Custom Decal File Preparation Requirements
We only accept tif, jpg, eps, al, pdf, psd, gif, & bmp file formats if your file is not in one of these formats then you will need to convert it to a pdf using a pdf converter like CutePDF Printer.
All bitmap files (tif, jpg) must be at least 600dpi and CMYK color & all CMYK color values need to set to 100% If you want colors to print 100% value.
We are not able to change RGB color, Grayscale color, & Bitmap color to CMYK and print 100% values the colors will print halftoned.
All vector graphics (eps, al, pdf) must be in CMYK & all CMYK color values need to set to 100% If you want colors to print 100% value.

Each color should be on its own layer & should be black. All black should look like this.
C - 100%
M - 100%
Y - 100%
K - 100%

Decals are printed on clear water slide decal paper. ALPS Custom Decals Terms & Conditions When you e-mail inquire about pricing please include a pdf attachment of your artwork for review. You are responsible for the quality of original artwork reproduction, color separations in spot color, color trapping & turning all fonts to outlines. All multiple color run decal artwork files must be setup with each color on its own layer.
